Music producer 'LayLow' has in the last few years been primarily focusing on providing beats and instrumentals for video game development companies such as EA Sports, Capcom, D3 Publisher etc, for the release of the new PlayStation 4. He recently opened a new fully equipped, dolby digital 5.1 sound studio in Lekki, Lagos. He's the man behind hit songs like 'Kabakaba' by Dagrin, Konga and  Remi Aluko, including most recently YQ's Nawo Nawo feat. Olamide amongst many others. He is indeed the "Beat Monster"

During a Christmas Day service held at the Cathedral Church of the Advent, Life Camp, Gwarinpa, Abuja on Christmas Day, President Jonathan said Nigeria does not belong to any politician or group politicians. 

“We politicians that think we own this country and are already thinking about next election; we are doing what we ought not to do; making statement we ought not to make and writing letters we are supposed not to write.

“This  country belongs to our statesmen, traditional rulers, religious leaders, our men, our women, our youths. Nigeria does not belong to any politician or group of politicians. So,  we will  continue to urge the clergymen  to pray for this country.” Jonathan said

Nigerian doctor attacks female patient who disagreed with diagnosis

A Nigerian doctor allegedly attacked a female patient in his surgery when she disagreed with his diagnosis, UK Daily Mail reports.

Dr Abiodun Bale, 42, (pictured above) grabbed Sheena Cunningham as she tried to leave his consultation room in tears after they argued over treatment for a facial condition.

The doctor from Nigeria denied assault when he appeared in court but was found guilty after a two-day trial. He was given a six-month  conditional discharge but will face a disciplinary hearing at work and could lose his job.

Bale, who qualified as a doctor at the University of Lagos in 1995, worked as a gynaecologist in his home country before coming to Britain and registering with the General Medical Council in 2006.

He was given a licence to practice here in November 2009 and was on a placement, for specialty GP training, at Hyndburn Medical Practice in Accrington, Lancashire, when the assault happened on March 26.

One of World's Greatest Hero Nelson Mandela dies at 95

South African Government has announced the death of Nelson Mandela. South African president Jacob Zuma announced that the former president and anti-apartheid revolutionary passed away peacefully in the company of his family in his home in Johannesburg around 8:50 this evening Dec. 5th.

He was 95 years old.His death marks the final chapter in a life that changed South Africa forever. What a man! May his soul rest in peace, amen.President Jacob Zuma said flags will be flown at half-mast across South Africa immediately with a state burial to follow. The UK government have also announced that flags will be flown at half-mast in the UK. Rest in peace, Madiba!

People come for Brandy for posting 'negative' pics of Africa

Quite a number of people from different parts of Africa blasted US singer Brandy for posting pics on her instagram page that they felt 'portrayed Africa in a bad light'. Brandy, who was in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire a few days ago to perform, posted the photo above and called it 'Beauty'. She posted another pic of three young boys in tattered clothing and called it 'depth'.

Burna Boy fraternized with a gang that stabbed someone to death?

I did a double take after reading this report on Thenet.ng. According to the investigative news portal, singer Burna Boy was part of a gang that stabbed someone to death in the UK in 2010. See it below...

Burn Boy’s ‘uncontrollable’ mannerism and persona didn’t just start yesterday; NET investigations and sources have linked him to a criminal past, a period of his life he would rather not make public knowledge.

We are told on good authority that while in the UK back in 2010, Burna Boy was arrested by London Police for allegedly being part of a gang and stabbing someone to death. He was tried as a minor and sent to jail.

After 11 months, he was released and given two months parole plus community service on the grounds of being of ‘good behaviour’. But Burna is said to have disobeyed authorities and travelled back to Nigeria where he signed a record deal with Aristokrat.

He later travelled back to the UK but was arrested at the airport and deported to Nigeria. He is currently barred from the UK for the next 15 years.

CCTV footage that reveals the precise moment that Paul Walker's Porsche Carrera GT careered into a tree and burst into a flames has been released - as one witness claimed that the crash was an accident not a drag race.

Accident investigators 'have received eyewitness statements that the car involved was travelling alone at a high rate of speed' the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said in a written statement on Monday. 'No eyewitness has contacted the [department] to say there was a second vehicle.'

Burna Boy Barred From UK For 15 Years, To leave record label soon

Nigerian Entertainment Today has confirmed that Burna Boy will leave his record label Aristokrat Records at the end of 2013. The dancehall star (real name Damini Ogulu) who signed with the record label in 2011 is looking at launching his own company at the start of 2014. Burna has made this clear with Aristokrat even though the news of his departure has not reached the public.

A few weeks ago, the dark-skinned Port Harcourt bred act hinted at leaving the label. ‘Change is about to happen. I know #BBG will stick with me no matter what. Watch out for future announcement. #BBG’.
